Temperance - A Child's Cry Part 5
A FEW DAYS LATER
The hours of the night passed quickly and the first rays of the morning light began to show through the window. The warm light on his face made Loki open his eyes slowly. He had found peace in his sleep, which was not something he could usually find when awake. Sif’s words from the prior night still haunted him. He wondered how much this man Gallan knew of his niece. Not much, it would seem since he had not come for her, and Sif insisted she was the only one that knew Caedra was even related to this man. But Loki could never be careful enough. His bargain with Sif could be easily broken by either person. Even so, Loki couldn’t say he was completely ungrateful that she was giving him something of a chance to keep Caedra.
He glanced down and smiled. Caedra lay curled up against his chest, her hair a tangled mess in her face. She breathed steadily and (more importantly) peacefully. Over the past week she’d had a few more night
My Own Worst Enemy: Chap. 4 AlfredxReaderxLudwig
It was the first night that (F/N) had slept more than two hours before she needed to wake for work. Two weeks had passed since she had moved in with Ludwig and she was readjusting to life with the sweet, yet stern German. She awoke to the sound of her alarm blaring and flicked the alarm setting to off with her index finger. When she moved that's when she noticed something was holding onto her waist and preventing her from moving to her full extent without leaving the warm heaven that was the bed. (F/N) was a bit alarmed at the fact someone was in bed with her, she could hardly imagine bringing anyone home last night (for she had dragged Ludwig to a club with her for the hell of it.) That was when her eyes found the blonde hair and her heart skipped a beat.
Had she done something that she would regret with her best friend? She shook her head and laughed to herself, even she wasn't that careless when she was drunk or was she? (F/N) shook Ludwig slightly as he s

Let Me Fall
What power do you have, if you cannot save me?
Kailena walked slowly along the edge of the balcony, her steps a slow sway as she seemed to dance to a song only she could hear. It was a slow song, melancholy in its beauty. There had been few beautiful things in her life as of late, so even such a heartbreaking song she would gladly take.
As she continued to wander from the balcony down the halls in the palace, she wondered if she would ever stop feeling this way. Would she awake every morning to feel such emptiness and despair? Or would the day eventually come that she would wake to see her beloved prince by her side, and all her heartache gone? It did not seem so.
She continued to walk, seemingly unaware of where her footsteps were leading her. Truthfully she didn’t care. She had no plans, no things needed done or places she needed to be. She could go on walking for as long as she de
Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
Which is why she walks through the chalky soot of the smashed city around her. This all
